Do you have any natural approaches to bronchitis in my small old dog?

She also has a collapsed trachea. She was diagnosed with kennel cough but it has turned out to be bronchitis and a collapsed trachea. She has a harness now. I am looking for some natural remedies to help her. She is a stray Pomeranian mix (12-15 years old). Any help appreciated.

Answer 1:

Dogs that have any type of bronchitis should be contained in a kennel cab ,or room with a vaporizer containing some sort of medicated steam. If you haven't got a vaporizer, you can use a baby bottle warmer, the kind you put water in to warm a baby's milk,or you can also use a poperie pot with a candle under it to keep water warm, add the medicated steaming meds and put in same room.Leave it overnight.Continue to do this several nights and day if possible, and your pet will soon be breathing better.Your pet should also be on an antibiotic.Try this site also for other home medicines for pets.Hope your pet gets better .

Any natural remedies to help with bronchitis?

I am prone to getting bronchitis which is made worse in the winter.
What herbal remedies will help it? Possibly cure it?

Answer 1:

My bronchitis improved dramatically just by watching the air quality and the humidity inside. You can improve indoor air quality by moving to natural cleaning products instead of commercial products and being careful about burning candles, spraying fragrances, etc. Commercial products people think of as "clean" usually have warning labels telling you that they can e harmful. Run a humidifier and keep your humidity at 40%.

What are some ways to relieve bronchitis?

I'm pretty sure I've got bronchitis, and I'm having a hard time breathing. I should have a doctor's appointment either today or tomorrow, so something temporary. I've tried two inhaler puffs, didn't do much good. Are there any other ways?

Answer 1:

i use robenteson.... idk how to spell it sorry. but its sold behind the counter which medical description drugs because it is very strong u have to be 18 to buy it and it can get u high so u have to follow the directions. not like tylenol. iit is very strong and its what i use when i have break outs. both my parents smoke inside so i cant get way from it. it sucks cause i hate cigarettes

Answer 2:

go and see a doctor, to determine if the kind of bronchitis that you have is either viral or bacterial, then depending on that they will either give you antibiotics or codine cough syrup, and an albuterol inhaler. also a hot shower or sauna will do wonders to help relieve symptoms

long hot showers always help my daughter. she has asthma and we are always chasing her into the shower when her medications don't work. the shower helps open up the airways and relax you!

What are the major symptoms of bronchitis and how it can be cure naturally?

Bronchitis is an inflammation of the bronchial tubes, those being the air passages that extend from the windpipe into the lungs. This is a breathing disorder.

Its symptoms are:

Some natural treatments for bronchitis are as follows:

Answer 3:

Coughing, a lot of guck in your chest. You wait to long you will start coughing up blood. Bronchitis is worse when you lay down at night, you need antibiotics no home cure for this. ONce you get bronchitis you will usually get it again.

Answer 4:

Persistent cough, tightness in the lungs and difficulty breathing, wheezing, a somewhat aching and burning sensation in the upper lung/chest area, excessive phlegm/mucus.

It typically lasts a few weeks (maybe 2 to 4.) In some people it's chronic, coming back over and over again.

Not positive about "natural" treatments. Bronchitis is an inflammatory infection. Antibiotics are often prescribed to fight it off and keep it from getting worse. Sometimes steroids are prescribed to help with the inflammation. Cough medication can be prescribed often, as well.

Answer 5:

The only natural treatment for bronchitis I know of is time, pain, suffering, and possibly death from pneumonia.

An excellent alternative is an antibiotic, cortisone, and a good cough suppressant.

Its your choice.
